Kelly Bohemian Mustard and Olive Room Design Reasoning

Kelly, the second born now almost two years old, is growing up way too fast for her mommy’s liking. The aim was to create a timeless design and transform the current baby pastel room into a modern toddler room. After days of brain storming, mommy and I decided to go with an olive bohemian look and feel with a dusty mustard accent. (No adjustments were made to fixed lighting, floor and window finishes.)

Wall Finishes:

An enduring Harbour Grey for wall colour is a wonderful fit for any room, it’s just the right amount of grey and brown to lighten and enlarge any space.

Décor and Accessories:

A clean modern approach for a busy bee toddler. Weaved baskets and redesigned storage spaces keep this madam’s bedroom simple and tidy. The jute rug and leafy greens bring a taste of the world’s adventure to the bedroom and imagination.

Room Layout:

The room being quite small with pre-existing built-in cupboards, little one’s play space was limited. We removed the old shelves, changing station and cot, and brought in a subtly treated pine tepee bed and comfy play and reading nook.
